PNJ Technology Partners is actively seeking a Desktop Support Specialist. Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you’ll assist in providing on-site and remote desktop support along with hardware and software troubleshooting. We’re looking for someone who can follow procedures, learn new tasks, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure desktop PC’s including: setup, reformatting, and reinstalling software
  • Provide phone support to end users
  • Provide hardware and software support for PC’s
  • Perform troubleshooting, installation, and upgrade services as needed
  • Configure workstations to end user specifications 

Requirements

  • Experience as a PC Technician working specifically with hardware and software support
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Possess working knowledge of MS Office Suite of applications
  • Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot hardware and software issues and replace hardware or software as needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot operating system errors
  • Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions
  • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Local travel is required – Must have a reliable vehicle

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in related field or 2-4 years of equivalent experience
  • Two to four years of experience with helpdesk and end user support
  • Professional certifications such as A+ and Microsoft preferred
